Studying \u003cbr\u003egreat literature helps students develop \u003cbr\u003etheir own vocabulary and writing skills, \u003cbr\u003eas well as generating the ability to \u003cbr\u003edefend their ideas both orally and in \u003cbr\u003ewriting.  This course is excellent \u003cbr\u003epreparation for students soon to be in \u003cbr\u003ehigh school, as well as young high \u003cbr\u003eschoolers to prepare for the discussions \u003cbr\u003eand writing of literature in later \u003cbr\u003ehigh school and university classes. This \u003cbr\u003eclass is highly interactive, Socratic, \u003cbr\u003eand inquiry led. In this class, we will \u003cbr\u003ecover many reading and writing skills \u003cbr\u003enecessary to succeed in academic literary \u003cbr\u003estudy, while reading and discussing various \u003cbr\u003egenres and time periods in literature.\n\nAs a self-paced version of my Literary \u003cbr\u003eAnalysis 2 course, this course will offer \u003cbr\u003eno live class meetings.  Instead, your \u003cbr\u003estudent will have access to a class \u003cbr\u003erecording weekly to watch, as well as \u003cbr\u003eadditional written and visual documents \u003cbr\u003eto augment the recording.  The student will \u003cbr\u003ealso have various quizzes and interactive \u003cbr\u003eassignments to check their understanding \u003cbr\u003eof the video content, creating a workshop \u003cbr\u003efeel during the 15 weeks.
